Epic Seven’s 5/8 patch focuses on balance adjustments for Fenris and New Kid Adin, coinciding with the release of their new Exclusive Equipment. These changes aim to improve their usability in battles and create fresh team synergies.

💪 Fenris (5★ Covenant Hero) Balance Changes

Fenris receives a notable buff to his Strike of Fate skill, now adding Combat Readiness utility to better support back-row allies.

Strike of Fate Grants Increased Attack (3 turns) and attacks. Extra damage scales with the Health difference (up to 70%). Same as before, plus increases Combat Readiness of the ally in the back row by 50%.
Strike of Fate (Awakened) Grants Greater Increased Attack (3 turns) and attacks. Extra damage scales with the Health difference (up to 70%). Same as before, plus increases Combat Readiness of the ally in the back row by 50%.

New Kid Adin gets a complete overhaul for her kit, focusing on consistency and improved scaling with vigor.

Skill Before After
An Opening! Attacks single enemy. When under Vigor, attacks all enemies. Still attacks single enemy, but when under Vigor, inflicts extra damage equal to 50% of injuries inflicted. Soulburn (10 Soul) lets her attack all enemies.
You Started This! +50% Evasion. On successful evade, gain Vigor (1 turn). If granted Vigor, +10% Combat Readiness at end of someone’s turn. +50% Evasion. On successful evade, gain Vigor and Counterattack (once per turn). If granted Vigor, +20% Combat Readiness at end of someone’s turn.
Scattering Petals, Falling Leaves Inflicts Injuries. Successful hit under Vigor deals bonus damage (100% of injuries inflicted). Cooldown 4 turns. Gain 3 Souls. Soulburn reduces cooldown by 2 turns. Inflicts Injuries. Bonus damage under Vigor remains. Cooldown reduced to 3 turns naturally. Gain 2 Souls. Soulburn no longer reduces cooldown.

🔹 Summary of New Kid Adin Improvements

  • An Opening! is now more consistent — no forced AoE, optional AoE via Soulburn.
  • You Started This! grants counterattack + higher CR boost.
  • Scattering Petals, Falling Leaves is faster and requires no Soulburn to cycle.

  • Fenris now acts as a semi-support DPS, helping his team chain attacks by pushing the back-row ally’s Combat Readiness by 50% after unleashing his big hit.
