A Message from the Director
On April 15, 2025 (JST), Wizardry Variants Daphne officially marked its 6-month anniversary. In a heartfelt letter to players, Kanayama, the game’s director, expressed deep appreciation for the community’s support throughout the game’s early development. Despite challenges—including bugs and delays in content updates due to internal restructuring—Kanayama and the team remain committed to improving the game and delivering a rewarding experience to adventurers around the globe.
To celebrate this milestone, the development team has launched a series of anniversary campaigns starting April 17, 2025. As a thank-you gesture, all players have received a gift of 2,000 Gems of Org.
April Roadmap Highlights
New Feature: Compendium
One of the most anticipated additions in April is the Compendium, a new in-game encyclopedia. This feature allows players to revisit and explore detailed information collected during their journey—ranging from character bios and item descriptions to lore-rich entries. The Compendium will continue to expand over time, providing an immersive way to engage with Wizardry Variants Daphne’s growing universe.
Expansion of Guarda Fortress
A challenging new area will be added to the Guarda Fortress, offering high-risk, high-reward content for experienced players. This update introduces special request dungeons, where players must form contracts with powerful figures in the fortress’s deepest layers. Conquering these encounters will grant rare blessings, offering a strong incentive for skilled adventurers.
Skill Inheritance and Class Flexibility
Responding to community feedback, the developers are implementing a Potential Skill Inheritance system. This addition will allow even standard adventurers to inherit powerful abilities, increasing build diversity. Also, a Class Change Request item will be introduced, letting players revert characters back to previous classes, supporting experimentation and strategic flexibility.
May Roadmap
New Legendary Adventurer
A brand-new Legendary Adventurer is slated for release in early May. While details remain under wraps, players can expect this new character to bring powerful new mechanics and narrative twists.
Return of the Old Castle Ruins Event
Back by popular demand, the Old Castle Ruins event makes its return in late May. The first run in December 2024 was met with enthusiasm, and the developers have rebalanced the content based on community input and recent updates to the Guarda Fortress. Expect refined mechanics and improved rewards.
Requests from Allies Feature
Beginning with a character named Elmon, this new feature dives into side stories and untold character lore through mission-based requests. It’s a step toward deeper character development and increased story engagement, especially for fans who enjoy lore-rich content.
June and Beyond
Ninja Class and More
In late June, the Masked Adventurer will gain access to the Ninja class, introducing a fast-paced, stealth-oriented combat style. Alongside this, additional new classes are in development, accompanied by story-driven event quests.
These changes aim to evolve the game’s class system and bring new tactical possibilities to team compositions.

Wizardry Variants Daphne is entering an exciting new chapter. The Half Anniversary celebration marks not only a moment of reflection but also a leap forward in terms of content, quality-of-life improvements, and player-focused updates.
